When CAN I vote?
Do I need Identification to Vote?
Resident electors will be required to produce 2 pieces of identification (at least one with a signature). Picture identification is not necessary. The identification must prove both residency and identity.
Non-resident property electors must produce 2 pieces of identification (at least one with a signature) to prove identity, proof that they are entitled to register in relation to the property (only a copy of property title, registered agreement for sale or 99 year lease document will be accepted – tax or assessment documents are not acceptable), and, if applicable, written consent from the other property owners.
How can I vote if I will be away on Voting Day and Advance Voting Day?
The following electors are permitted to vote by mail ballot:
-
those persons who have a physical disability, illness or injury that affects their ability to vote at another voting opportunity;
-
persons who expect to be absent from the District of Lillooet on general voting day and at the times of all advance voting opportunities.
It is the responsibility of the elector to ensure the mail ballot is received by the deadline.
